An opportunity has
arisen to join a fast-growing White Label Platform in the Exchange Traded
Product (ETP) space run by two successful and well-known professionals who have
now been working together for over 12 years.
The current team has over 100 years of experience managing an operating
funds.
The Operations
Associate, reporting to the Head of ETF Operations, will be a high calibre
middle-office / investment operations professional with strong technical UCITS
Fund knowledge.
The successful
candidate will play a pivotal role in the maintenance of the European UCITS ETF
platform and will cover a wide range of ETF investment operations.
They will be executing
daily processes, driving process improvements and working closely with senior
management on some tasks, as well as performing some routine daily functions.
This role will suit a ‘hands on’ person who thrives in a dynamic and high
growth environment.

The role is within the
Product team and will be exposed to all aspects of the business.
Job Description:

Maintain tools for reviewing key
operations information related to the ETF platform, including NAVs, benchmark
index data, PCFs, security pricing, FX rates, collateral, accrued interest,
dividends, tracking error and market making spreads
- Design and produce reports to keep
management and counterparties informed, as well as IT tools to maintain the
efficiency and robustness of operational processes
- Conduct various periodic calculations
and reviews such as reconciling cash and security holdings for ETFs, reporting
and performance measurement for key service providers, product calendars and
distribution schedules
- Build relationships across internal
(product development, Sales, Capital markets, Legal and Compliance) and
external (administrators, transfer agents, custodians, exchanges, Market makes
and data providers) counterparties
- Become thoroughly familiar with index
calculation methods for a variety of indices in several asset classes
- Assist with the maintenance of all
operational infrastructure and new product listings
- Maintain up-to-date static data on all
products, including assisting with maintaining fact sheets and other collateral
for the company’s websites
- Promptly raise alerts pertaining to
errors or breaches, e.g. UCITS post
trade compliance and assist in taking corrective action
Document and flowchart all core
workflows and maintain the operational knowledge base
Role Requirements:
Education and Experience:
-
Degree level education
- Two to five years’ experience in
relevant roles in UCITS fund operations, fund accounting, trade support or asset
management, covering areas such as portfolio management, trade processing,
trade reconciliation and order management
- IT literate, specifically in VBA,
Microsoft Office and Bloomberg
- Familiarity with the dealing process of
daily dealing /Index funds / ETFs is important, while ETF experience is a bonus
- Knowledge and understanding of NAV
calculation and reporting
- Good understanding of operational risk
and practical experience of process improvements
- Knowledge of international custody issues preferred
- Experience across multiple asset classes (equities, commodities, fixed income, FX) desirable
