Video | Sports Betting and iGaming ETF debuts on the LSE to capture 'huge, pent-up demand' in sector
Watch Aaron Fischer, co-founder of our iGaming ETF and founder of Fischer Gaming discuss the new Sports Betting and iGaming UCITS ETF.
Speaking with Proactive Investor, Aaron described the underlying theme of the iGaming ETF as betting on the outcome of a sporting event and using casino-type games online.
“Sports betting is basically when you bet on the outcome of
an event or maybe you’re betting on who scores the most goals; any wagering on
the outcome of a sport event. iGaming sounds a little bit confusing but it’s
kind of betting, casino type games so it can be betting on slot machines which
are online, or blackjack, or poker, but it’s everything online.”
The iGaming ETF tracks the Solactive Fischer Sports Betting and iGaming Index which focuses on companies that derive significant revenue from Sports Betting and iGaming (online activities that include poker and online casinos games such as blackjack, slots and fantasy sports). Constituents of the index include B2C online-focused brands that have exposure to a wide range of online gaming products; omnichannel companies with bricks and mortar casinos with an increasing emphasis on online business; and service providers such as technology platform, sports data providers, media and affiliate marketing companies.
