Europe’s first medical cannabis and carbon avoidance solutions themed ETFs to list on Vienna Stock Exchange

HANetf, Europe’s first independent white-label ETF and ETC platform and leading provider of thematic ETFs, has listed two ETFs on the Vienna Stock Exchange, in a further expansion of the company’s pan-European distribution capabilities.

TheMedical Cannabis & Wellness UCITS ETF (ticker: CBDX) –  was the first medical cannabis focused ETF to be listed in Europe and provides exposure to companies involved in the legal medical cannabis, hemp and CBD sectors.  Companies from across the medical cannabis ecosystem, including producers, hydroponics suppliers, biotech companies, consumer product producers and ancillary service providers. Key constituents include GW Pharmaceuticals and Scott’s Miracle-Gro.  The Medical Cannabis ETF is up 107.64% over the past 12 months[1].  Past performance is no guarantee of future performance.  [1] Source: HANetf/Bloomberg as of 28.02.21

iClimaGlobal Decarbonisation Enablers UCITS ETF (ticker: CLMA) is the world’s first climate change ETF that provides exposure to companies offering products and services that enable CO2e avoidance and quantifies the impact of those companies in meeting decarbonisation targets. CLMA is unique because it shifts the focus from companies’ emission reduction actions, to companies offering products and services that directly enable CO2e avoidance solutions and shines a spotlight on climate change innovators.  CLMA tracks the iClima Global Decarbonisation Enablers Index which is up 95.39% over the past 12 months[1].  Past performance is no guarantee of future performance.  [1] Source: HANetf/Bloomberg as of 28.02.21

Andre Voinea, Head of German speaking regions at HANetf said “We’re delighted to list our iClima Global Decarbonisation Enablers UCITS ETF and Medical Cannabis & Wellness UCITS ETF in Vienna.  We are seeing significant demand from Austrian investors who want access to transparent and liquid exposure to long-term medical, climate change solutions and social megatrends. We hope this will be the first of a full range of ETFs HANetf will be cross listing to Vienna.”

Manuel Kurz, Business Development at Wiener Börse said: The Vienna Stock Exchange is pleased to make two ETFs from HANetf available for trading for the first time. As a result, local investors will find an even wider range of investment opportunities on their home exchange.
