HANetf Joins the $1billion AUM European ETF Club
21st December 2020,
London
HANetf, Europe’s first full
services ‘white label’ UCITS ETF issuer, is pleased to confirm that it has
exceeded $1 billion AUM as of 17th December 2020. This AUM milestone represents yet another
achievement for the HANetf platform, which has increased its assets by over 14
fold since the beginning of the year[1].
Hector McNeil, Co-CEO of
HANetf said “HANetf started the year with 5 ETFs and
$67million assets under management and will finish the year with 12 funds and
over a billion dollars in assets. This
is testament to themes that are capturing the imagination of European investors
and a team that can deliver. In recent
weeks we have seen phenomenal growth in products such as our Bitcoin ETC and our
Emerging Markets ETF.
HANetf is the fourth ETF brand
that Nik and I have set up together and we have reached the $1bn barrier
multiple times now. However, this is the
quickest, highest average TER and the most rewarding and exciting ETF business
we have embarked on. We set out to partner with companies with world leading intellectual
property and content and provide them with all the spades and shovels needed to
research, develop, set up, list, market and raise assets. I really believe
HANetf has the best investment ideas, content, team and we are very excited by
the future.”
HANetf was set up by Hector
McNeil and Nik Bienkowski in 2018 to crush the barriers to entry to the
European ETF market, by providing a comprehensive ETF product and distribution platform
with the ability to issue a new UCITS ETF within 10 weeks. This includes product development,
operational, regulatory, distribution and marketing solutions for asset
managers and business who want to successfully launch and manage ETFs and ETPs
to leverage their existing brands and expertise. In 2020, HANetf has
launched 7 new products to market including
the world’s first carbon
avoidance solutions ETF[2],
a landmark gold
ETC
with The Royal Mint, the world’s first central counterparty cleared, an exchange
traded Bitcoin ETP[3],
and a host of modern thematic ETFs.
These include medical cannabis, which is Europe’s first cannabis related
ETF[4],
Europe’s first 5G and digital infrastructure ETF[5],
North American midstream energy and the World’s first Shariah compliant global
equity active ETF[6]. Lots of firsts, but this is just the start.
When you trade ETFs your capital
is at risk.
