HANetf adds to top tier service providers, selecting EY as Auditor

London, 15 May 2018 – HANetf, Europe’s first independent ‘white-label’ UCITS ETF platform has announced that EY has been selected to provide audit services to the funds and sub-funds on the HANetf platform. EY will be appointed for HANetf’s first financial period ending 31 March 2019.

The announcement comes ahead of the upcoming launch of HANetf’s Irish domiciled fund platform which is designed to reduce the barriers to entry for new entrants to the European ETF market. Founded by co-CEOs, Hector McNeil and Nik Bienkowski, HANetf provides a full service offering to prospective ETF issuers including ETF product development, capital markets, sales, marketing and distribution.

Nik Bienkowski, co-CEO at HANetf, said: “HANetf is preparing to unleash a wave of pent-up demand from asset managers looking to bring their investment ideas to Europe, leveraging the efficiencies and scalability of the HANetf platform. EY are supremely knowledgeable and experienced in serving the needs of ETF issuers and investors..”

Lisa Kealy, Assurance Partner in EY’s Financial Services Group said: “As a leading name in the ETF market in Europe, EY is proud to now include HANetf among our Irish and European financial services client base. We are proud of the vital role our profession plays in the functioning of the world’s capital markets.

"Our global scale, investments in audit technology, unrelenting focus on audit quality and deep sector insights positions us very well to serve companies like HANetf. This is a significant appointment for our growing financial services audit practice in Ireland."

Lisa Kealy leads EY Ireland’s Wealth and Asset Management practice, and EY EMEIA’s ETF practice, and will lead the audit team working on HANetf from Dublin.
