Purpose Investments and HANetf List First Medical Cannabis UCITS On London Stock Exchange | CBDX
- The Medical Cannabis and Wellness UCITS ETF (CBDX) is the first medical
cannabis focused ETF to be listed on London Stock Exchange
- CBDX is listing in the UK with a Total Expense Ratio (TER) of 80bps
- A EUR version – CBSX - was listed in Germany on XETRA earlier this month
- The UK is the world’s largest producer and exporter of legal cannabis

London, 20 January, 2020: HANetf is delighted to announce that, together with Canadian based asset
manager, Purpose Investments, they are launching The Medical Cannabis and
Wellness UCITS ETF (CBDX) on London Stock Exchange.
CBDX is listing on
the London Stock Exchange on 22nd January, having already premiered on Deutsche
Boerse earlier this month. It is the first and only European UCITS ETF to
deliver targeted exposure to the rapidly expanding medical cannabis industry.
CBDX is domiciled in Ireland and has also been passported for sale into Italy.
The listing is
significant as it provides UK investors with the ability to gain exposure to
the fast-growing medical cannabis sector via a transparent, diversified and
rigorously screened basket of legal cannabis, hemp and CBD-related securities.
In Europe there are now 28 countries [2] with some form of medical cannabis
legislation, with the UK being the largest producer and exporter of medical
grade cannabis in the world [3]. As of 2018, the global medical cannabis market
size was US$ 13.4 Billion. Experts predict that the market is expected to reach
a value of US$ 148 Billion by 2026, exhibiting a CAGR of 26.4% [4].

listed companies conducting legal business activities in the medical cannabis,

The constituents go
through an in-depth legal, due diligence process and only include equities
listed on major stock exchanges such as the NYSE, Nasdaq and TSX.
The fund is fully
physically replicated with a TER of 80 bps. As with all ETFs, your capital is
