London, 2nd July 2019 - HANetf, Europe’s first
independent ‘white label’ UCITS ETF platform founded by Hector McNeil and Nik
Bienkowski, has appointed Harriet Ssentongo as Sales Director, BeNeLux, further
expanding the business’ distribution capabilities.
Reporting to co-CEO Hector McNeil,
Harriet will be responsible for selling funds on the HANetf platform to institutional
investors, wealth managers and private banking clients as part of HANetf’s
comprehensive distribution and marketing solution.
Harriet brings over 12 years of
financial markets experience, with over 8 years dedicated to ETF distribution. She
joins HANetf from WisdomTree Europe where she developed the distribution
strategy for wealth management and private banking clients in her role as Director
of UK & Ireland Sales. Harriet was also responsible for early phase ETF
distribution in new markets in the Nordics, Germany and Switzerland.
Prior to working at WisdomTree
Europe, Harriet held roles at Boost ETP and Bloomberg and has worked for
public figures including British MPs and economist Nouriel Roubini.
Hector
McNeil, co-founder
and co-CEO of HANetf, said: “HANetf has a formidable distribution
team, which Harriet’s skills and experience will significantly enhance, and I
am delighted that she is joining us. The BeNeLux region is an important and
growing ETF market for us as asset managers, private banks, brokerages and
financial advisers continue to increase their use of ETFs.
“Harriet’s considerable knowledge of
the market and understanding of investor needs adds to our already powerful
offering, reinforcing our unique proposition which combines a full-service ETF
white-label platform with sophisticated distribution, sales and marketing
services for on-platform funds.”
Since September, 2018, HANetf has dismantled
barriers to entering the European ETF market, launching five UCITS ETFs with
sponsors from North America and the Middle East (the full list of products is
below). HANetf is planning to launch a further 10-15 unique and differentiated ETFs
over 2019.
