HANetf, Europe’s first full service ‘white label’ ETP platform, is delighted to confirm that it has made two new hires, underscoring its strong growth. [1]
Shane Hickey is joining as a senior lawyer with over 10 years’ experience as a financial services lawyer. He qualified as a solicitor in Ireland with Maples Group. Since then, he has worked both in private practice with leading law firms, such as A&L Goodbody in Dublin and King & Wood Mallesons in London, and in-house with institutional asset managers M&G and DWS in London.
Shane has extensive experience advising on legal and regulatory aspects of asset management, and in particular UCITS ETFs, having provided legal support for the Xtrackers ETF range at DWS. Shane will support HANetf’s continued development and growth, providing product, legal and regulatory advice to HANetf and its clients.
Seb Alam has also joined HANetf as a Financial Analyst. Seb is a Chartered Management Accountant with degrees in both finance and IT. He has 10 years’ experience working in finance roles, primarily with education institutions where he was the key driver in automating accounting processes and implementing new systems. He is joining the Finance team and will enhance the financial systems and analytical tools for HANetf and its various subsidiaries.
HANetf was founded in 2018. Since then, it has seen its assets under management (AUM) grow to over $2billion.[2]HANetf is a leader in the thematic ETF space, having an extensive range of thematic strategies as well as being the first to the European market with several themes.[3] Alongside thematic ETFs, HANetf oversees a range of ETCs including cryptocurrencies, gold and European Union carbon allowances.
